Alain Goncalves

Alain Goncalves currently serves as Vice President of Sourcing and Procurement (CPO) at Illumina, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this role, Alain held various leadership positions in procurement at Catalent Pharma Solutions, where responsibilities included oversight of multiple manufacturing sites and leading global categories related to biopharmaceutical production. Alain's experience also includes serving as Vice President of Procurement at Ipsen, managing category strategies for manufacturing sites across Europe and the U.S., and similar roles at Takeda and GSK, focusing on procurement strategies for clinical trials and aseptic operations. Alain began their career in procurement with the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Educational qualifications include an Executive Development Program in Procurement from London Business School and a Master's degree in Engineering Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
