Jim Ely

Jim Ely is an experienced technology manager with a robust background in production technology and IT engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Production Technology at IMAX since May 2018, Jim leads a team focused on maintaining production pipelines and advancing infrastructure automation. Prior to this role, Jim worked at Marvel Studios as Manager of I.T. Engineering and previously held positions at 5th Kind LLC as Sr. Linux Engineer and at Image Entertainment as Senior Systems Administrator, where responsibilities included system maintenance and security. Jim's career began at JWT Specialized Communications as a Senior Software Engineer, where web-based and application-based tools were developed with a focus on UI and SQL integration, utilizing a variety of programming languages.
