Cristina Gonzalez Fernandez is an experienced professional in the field of environmental science, currently serving as Jefe de unidad at IMDEA Energía since 2019, after holding the position of Investigador titular at the same institution from 2011 to 2019. Prior roles include postdoctoral research at INRA LBE from 2010 to July 2011, and Técnico de Investigación at ITACyL between 2008 and 2010, as well as a similar position at the University of Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. Cristina Gonzalez Fernandez earned a Doctorate in Medioambiente from Universidad de Valladolid and a Master of Science from the University of Cincinnati in 2005.

IMDEA Energy Institute was created in 2006 by the Regional Government of “Comunidad de Madrid” as non-profit Foundation to promote and carry out R&D&i activities to contribute to the development of a sustainable and decarbonised energy system.
