Bart Matthys is a Technical Project Lead at imec, having joined in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Agfa HealthCare as a Development Team Lead from September 2014 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for managing multiple development teams and ensuring synchronization with other international centers. Bart also served as a Software Engineer at Agfa HealthCare from September 2010 to September 2017, where they developed connectivity components, acted as a SCRUM master, and set up a remote team. Before joining Agfa HealthCare, Bart worked as a Software Engineer at Barco from August 2007 to August 2010, where they focused on layout and display management components. Bart collaborated with teams from different countries and facilitated cross-team development.
Bart Matthys obtained a Master's degree in computer science from HOGENT between 2005 and 2007.
