Gauri Karve has a diverse work experience in the field of technical research and project management. Gauri started their career at the University of Texas at Austin and worked there as an Alumni from 1998 to 2005. Gauri then joined Freescale Semiconductors as a Senior Technology Development Engineer from 2005 to 2009. Following that, Gauri joined IBM, where they held various roles including Advisory Characterization Engineer, Senior Characterization Engineer, Device and Integration Engineer, Manager of Test and Electrical Characterization, and Senior Manager of IBM Research. Gauri worked at IBM from 2009 to 2019. Currently, Gauri is working at imec as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for managing complex multi-disciplinary projects with large teams. Gauri also holds the position of Scientific Director at imec, where they are a versatile technical expert in integration, characterization, and devices for CMOS, heterogenous integration, and SWIR imagers.
Gauri Karve holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, which they obtained between 2000 and 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university from 1998 to 2000. Gauri also holds a Master's degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Gauri'seducational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from the University of Mumbai, which they completed between 1993 and 1996. Additionally, Gauri Karve has earned certifications such as IEEE Senior member from IEEE and Master Inventor from IBM in 2018.
