Concurrently, Gert Bergen is a Board Member for PMV - Doe- en Durfbedrijf, overseeing venture capital and investment in small businesses, as well as serving on the board of Agentschap Innoveren & Ondernemen, which manages support policies for innovation and entrepreneurship in Flanders. Gert Bergen's extensive experience includes previous roles at imec as Vice President of Strategic Development and various board positions within FWO, imec.xpand, imec.istart, and FIDIMEC. Gert Bergen's background in public service includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Flemish Minister of Economy and Innovation. Academic credentials include an MBA from Vlerick Business School, a degree in Applied Economics from KU Leuven, and a Master of Laws in corporate and economic law from the same institution, along with ongoing studies in investment management at the CFA Institute.
