Laurent Vancaillie currently serves as a Senior Venture Development Manager at imec, a leading research and innovation center specializing in nanoelectronics and digital technologies, since June 2022. Prior to this role, Laurent was the Managing Partner and CEO at Freebility NV from January 2017 to June 2022, focusing on digital workflow solutions for mobile workforces. Laurent's experience also includes a position as Business Development Manager at ON Semiconductor from February 2008 to January 2017, where responsibilities included providing access to mixed-signal BCD technologies. Earlier career highlights include working as a Design Engineer at Cissoid s.a. and as a Research Associate at Université catholique de Louvain, where Laurent completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Laurent holds a postgraduate degree in Business Management from ICHEC Brussels Management School and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain.
