Luc Van den hove has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Luc has been President and CEO of imec since July 2009, where they have been involved in setting up the world's largest industry partnership in semiconductor research. Prior to their current role, they held various positions at imec, including Vice-President of the Silicon Process and Device Technology Division, Department Director of Unit Process Step R&D, Manager of the micro-patterning group, and Team leader in silicide and interconnect technologies.
Luc Van den hove obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Applied Sciences Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven from 1980 to 1988.
