Naveen Reddy has a diverse work experience spanning several prestigious companies and academic institutions. Naveen is currently employed at imec as a Research and Development team lead since March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Research and Development Engineer at imec from September 2022 to March 2023. Before joining imec, Naveen worked at Special Materials Technology as a Product Development and Research Associate from February 2021 to August 2022. In this role, they were responsible for scientific leadership in surface improvement and process optimization of Nickel-Titanium shape memory alloys. Additionally, they developed environmentally friendly lubricants for processing shape memory alloys. Naveen's career also includes a role as an Assistant Professor at Hasselt University from October 2016 to January 2021, where they focused on structure-property relationships in soft matter using advanced rheological techniques. From March 2014 to September 2016, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Johnson & Johnson, leading the packaging and rheology groups. Naveen provided scientific expertise in market complaints, R&D support, and packaging in combination products. Before that, Naveen was a Postdoctoral Researcher at KU Leuven from June 2011 to February 2014.
Naveen Reddy completed a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University in 2006. Naveen then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven, graduating in 2011.
