Peter Peumans began their work experience as a Student at KU Leuven from 1993 to 1998. Peter then worked as a Graduate Researcher at Princeton University from 1998 to 2003. Following that, they served as an Assistant Professor at Stanford University from 2004 to 2011. Peter then joined imec as a Program Director from 2011 to 2016, and later as the SVP Life Science Technologies from 2016 to 2020. From 2019 to 2020, they also worked as the CTO at miDiagnostics. Currently, they hold the position of CTO Health Technologies at imec starting from May 2020.
Peter Peumans completed their Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained their M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven from 1993 to 1998. Peter's educational journey started at Heilig-Hart College Tervuren from 1987 to 1993, where they focused on Mathematics.
