Alper Gungor is an experienced operations and project manager with a strong background in mining and engineering. Currently serving as Operations Manager at Imerys Ceramics since July 2014, Alper has previously held significant roles including Project Manager at Suda Maden A.S., where responsibilities encompassed exploration management and production planning, and Mine Manager at European Nickel Mining Co., where expertise in mine modeling and production optimization was demonstrated. Alper's career also includes senior engineering positions at Demirexport and Şişecam Soda Sanayi, alongside teaching experience as a part-time instructor and a research assistant at Middle East Technical University. Alper holds a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering from Middle East Technical University, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the same institution.
