Stewart Ritchie has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of software development. Stewart began their career at Hewitt Associates as an Analyst/Programmer, where they worked for eight years. Stewart then moved on to Beacon Homeloans as a Senior Developer for four years. After that, they joined ABA Market Research LTD. as a Senior Developer, where they focused on software design, implementation, and coaching. Following their time at ABA Market Research, they worked at Sterling Risk Solutions as a Senior Software Developer. In 2015, Stewart joined Immediate Media Co as a Senior .NET Developer, eventually becoming the Lead .NET Developer. During their tenure at Immediate Media, they worked on several projects including the development of new features for the RadioTimes.com website, transitioning existing architecture to a new editorial platform, and setting the future direction for the use of APIs and services. In January 2018, they changed roles within Immediate Media and started working on the Hitched project.
Stewart Ritchie attended The University of Manchester from 1988 to 1990, where they studied Physiology & Pharmacology. Prior to that, they attended St Christopher School, Letchworth from 1984 to 1988. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in Software Architecture: Domain-Driven Design and Being a Good Mentor from LinkedIn in 2022.
