Connie Kim Yen Nguyen-Truong, PhD, RN, PCCN, is an assistant professor at Washington State University College of Nursing – Vancouver. A nurse scientist with expertise as a community-based participatory research methodologist, she completed both her PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowship at OHSU’s School of Nursing. She is a Senior Fellow in the Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Institute (APICLI), as well as a member of the APICLI steering committee, and Co-Chair of IRCO Asian Family Center Advisory Board.

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is a non-profit organization established in 1974 to serve immigrants and refugees in Portland, Oregon. Since its founding, IRCO has served more than 55,000 people through provision of programs and services that meet needs related to training and employment, health and aging, English language learning, naturalization and adjustment, community development, early childhood, parenting and youth development, education and interpretation and translation.
