Simi Gill

Simi Gill has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2016, they served as a Music Lab Supervisor at Carroll College until 2019. During this time, they also became an active member of Engineers Without Borders (EWB), where they worked on service projects in Uganda, negotiated fundraising efforts, and conducted grant research. From 2015 to 2019, Simi served as the Executive Director/Fundraising Chair for St. Jude's Up Til Dawn (UTD)/Saints for St. Jude, overseeing board meetings, fundraising event logistics, and social media management. In 2018, they interned as a Communications and Marketing Intern at the Helena Family YMCA. From 2019 to 2020, Simi worked as a Marketing Coordinator at the Gill Aesthetic Institute, assisting with marketing programs and social media management. Simi then transitioned to the role of Marketing Administrative Assistant at Coldwell Banker Bain of Vancouver East in 2020, providing administrative and customer support. Simi also worked as a Project Manager at Language Link in 2020, managing translation and interpretation projects. From 2020 to 2022, they held the role of Operations Recruiter at Opti Staffing Group, where they performed B2B sales, full-scope recruitment, and maintained client relationships. Currently, Simi is the Communications Coordinator at the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization.

Simi Gill attended Carroll College from 2015 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations.
