Sean Gordon

Sean Gordon, CPA, currently serves as a Finance & Accounting Consultant at Impac Mortgage Corp. since September 2020, where responsibilities include bridging the Assistant Controller role and enhancing accounting processes for efficiency. Previously, Sean held the positions of VP Accounting and AVP Assistant Controller at Impac Mortgage Corp. from November 2015 to April 2018, overseeing the accounting close process, managing SOX compliance, and leading significant accounting projects. Prior experience includes working as a Finance & Accounting Consultant for various companies, including Danaher and Mitsubishi, from June 2007 to November 2015, and serving as a Sr. Financial Analyst at New Century Mortgage, where consolidated financial statements were prepared. Sean’s career began at Ernst & Young, LLP, where financial audits were conducted for large public companies, followed by experience at Layman Wilks & How, LLP focusing on financial statement audits and tax return preparation. Sean graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting from California State University-Long Beach.
