Jiorgos Kourelis

Jiorgos Kourelis is a lecturer at Imperial College London since January 2024, with a robust background in plant sciences. Prior to this role, Jiorgos served as a senior postdoctoral scientist and postdoctoral scientist at The Sainsbury Laboratory from March 2019 to January 2024. Experience as a postdoctoral scientist and DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford spanned from June 2014 to March 2019. Previous roles include research assistant at the University of Amsterdam and visiting research scholar at the University of California, Riverside. Jiorgos holds a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Plant Sciences from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, and a BSc in Biology from the same institution.
