João Cabral currently holds the position of P&G/RAEng Research Chair in microflow engineering and serves as a Professor and Group leader at Imperial College London since April 2005. João also has experience as a Visiting Professor at the University of Chicago's Institute for Molecular Engineering from August 2014 to August 2015, and was a Visiting Scholar at Fudan University in 2008. Prior research experience includes a role as a Foreign Guest Researcher at NIST from 2002 to 2005 and a Researcher position at Laboratoire Leon Brillouin in 1997. João Cabral earned a PhD in Polymer Science from Imperial College London (1998-2002), a Licenciatura in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico (1992-1997), and completed an Erasmus exchange program in Physics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 1996.
