Seán O'Brien

Seán O'Brien is a Design Assurance Engineer at Implantica since December 2020, with prior experience in various roles within the medical device industry. Previously, Seán took a career break after working as a Device Development Engineer at Roche from October 2016 to May 2019, and as an R&D Associate Engineer at Medtronic from November 2014 to September 2016, focusing on vascular access and cardiovascular devices. Early in the career, Seán completed internships at DePuy Synthes Spine and DePuy Spine, which involved designing medical devices for spinal surgeries and developing manufacturing constructs. Seán holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Galway, completed in 2014.
