Chris Caulfield has extensive experience in engineering and management roles within the food industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Factory Technical Services at Impossible Foods since June 2018, Chris has previously held various significant positions there, including Senior Manager of Process Engineering and Pilot Plant Manager. Prior experience includes a tenure at Mars from August 2013 to May 2018 as a Process Development Engineer and Raw Materials Engineer. Chris's early career involved multiple roles with the Boy Scouts of America from June 2005 to August 2013, as well as a Process Development Internship at Mars in 2012. Chris holds a degree from Lehigh University, completed in 2013.

The privately held food tech startup was founded in 2011 by Patrick O. Brown, M.D., Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry at Stanford University and a former Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator. Investors include Mirae Asset Global Investments, Khosla Ventures, Bill Gates, Google Ventures, Horizons Ventures, UBS, Viking Global Investors, Temasek, Sailing Capital, and Open Philanthropy Project.
