Jim Webb has over 20 years of experience in various technical and project management roles. Jim started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at 3M in 1993. Jim then worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Intel Corporation, where they developed hardware thermal solutions for processor systems. After that, Jim joined Terabeam as a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on mechanical engineering tasks. Jim then joined Aculight as a Mechanical Engineer, working on designing cryogenic cooling systems for infrared countermeasure lasers on military aircraft. Aculight was later acquired by Lockheed Martin, where Jim continued to work as a Project Manager, specializing in laser and optical products for medical and research fields. Their work included collaborating with university researchers and securing government and commercial contracts. Jim then joined Carbon Design Group as a Lead Project Director, responsible for program management, system engineering, and client management in developing innovative products for various markets. Jim's most recent position was at Meta, where they held various roles including System Technical Project Manager and Manager of HW TPMs, managing VR controllers, accessories, and packaging for the Facebook Reality Lab's product portfolio. Currently, Jim is working as a Principal at Stocker Consulting and will be joining Impulse as a Principal TPM starting in April 2023.
Jim Webb received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the years 1990 to 1995. In 2013, they obtained a Stanford Advanced Project Management Certificate from Stanford University.
