Karl Kremling is a Technical Director and Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at Inari, a position held since March 2018, responsible for leading a team to leverage genomic and computational methods for agricultural innovation. Kremling has extensive experience in plant genetics and data science, focusing on CRISPR Cas editing and intellectual property development. Prior to Inari, Kremling was a Senior Scientist at Cornell University, where PhD work improved the identification of functional genetic variants in corn through advanced analytical techniques. Additional roles include research positions at the University of California, Berkeley, Boyce Thompson Institute, and CIMMYT, involving hands-on laboratory work and field studies. Kremling holds a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Spanish from Grinnell College.
