Robert Berendes

Robert is a Venture Partner at Flagship Pioneering and Chairman of Indigo Ag and CiBO Technologies. He co-owns and serves as a partner of a-connect, a global talent management firm, where he leads their agribusiness, food and chemicals practice. He is also an Operating Director at Paine Schwartz Partners and serves on the Board of Directors of Verdesian Life Sciences and AgBiTech. Prior to this, he was Syngenta’s Global Head of Business Development and a member of the executive committee. Robert has a PhD in Biophysics from the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry and Technical University of Munich and a Diploma in Chemistry from the University of Cologne.
