Alex Foord has significant experience in information technology leadership positions. Alex began their career as a Vice President of Information Technology at EDULINX Canada Corporation, where they were responsible for transforming the company's IT division and implementing innovative solutions. Alex then moved on to become the Vice President of Information Technology at Loblaw Companies Limited, managing various retail solutions. Foord later joined Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions as the Vice President of Information Technology, leading the IT department and optimizing workplace management services. Most recently, Foord served as the Chief Information Officer at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), overseeing critical services and evolving the electricity marketplace in Ontario.
In 2018-2019, Alex Foord attended the Ivey Business School at Western University, where they completed the Senior Public Sector Leadership Program (SPSLP) with a focus on Public Sector Leadership. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science from York University.
