Founded in 1906 as the Oklahoma Association of Local Fire Insurance Agents, Big I Oklahoma is the largest insurance trade association in the state. With nearly 450 independent insurance agency members, we represent more than 3,000 independent insurance agents and their employees. Big I OK member agencies range in size from one person to some of the largest agencies in the region. Big I Oklahoma policy is set by a board of directors elected at the annual convention. Policy is implemented by a professional staff located in Oklahoma City. Big I Oklahoma's mission, shown below, is carried out through a variety of programs designed to enhance the business of independent insurance agencies. Big I Oklahoma is an active advocate on behalf of independent agents before legislative, regulatory and judicial groups in Oklahoma and at the federal level.
