Shaker Alowainati

Shaker AlOwainati currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at INDEX Holding, responsible for leading IT strategy and driving digital transformation across the organization and its subsidiaries. Previously, Shaker held the position of Senior Manager of IT and Operations at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance from March 2015 to April 2023, and earlier served as Manager of Information Technology at Ibdar Bank BSC(c). Shaker's career also includes roles as a Senior System Administrator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain and a Computer Instructor in various governmental departments, contributing to initiatives such as the King Hamad Future School Project. Shaker holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Strathclyde Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain.
