Founding Herbert Simon Family Dean, University Library at IUPUI

Kristi Palmer is the current Herbert Simon Family Dean of the University Library at IUPUI. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Library Assistant at The Indianapolis Public Library from January 1999 to December 2001. Kristi has been instrumental in the development and growth of the University Library at IUPUI, and their work has helped to improve access to information for students, faculty, and staff.

Kristi Palmer has a MLS from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in Library and Information Science and a BS in Theirtory from Ball State University. Kristi also has certification from EDUCAUSE in Leading Change Institute, Harvard University Graduate School of Education in Library Leadership in a Digital Age, and Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) in Institute on Scholarly Communication.

Kristi Palmer works with John Ditusa - Dean, School of Science, Jeremy Carter - Interim Executive Associate Dean, Paul H. O'Neill School of Public & Environmental Affairs, and Mathew Palakal - Senior Executive Associate Dean, School of Informatics & Computing. Their manager is Andrew Klein, Interim Chancellor.
