Piumy Amarakoon

Piumy Amarakoon is an accomplished Lead Software Engineer at InEight Inc. since November 2018, where responsibilities include leading a team, coaching interns and new employees, and ensuring project requirements are clearly understood before development. Prior experience at EDM Systems(pvt) Ltd from February 2013 to November 2018 included roles as Senior Computer Programmer and Computer Programmer, focusing on the research, design, and implementation of scalable applications for data extraction and analysis, as well as developing code fixes for software updates. Piumy began the career as a Trainee Computer Programmer, continuously building skills to enhance productivity. Piumy holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa and a Higher National Diploma in Information Technology from the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE), in addition to education from Ananda National College, Chilaw.
