Senior Mechanical Engineer at Infleqtion

Jay D. has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Jay is currently a Senior Mechanical Engineer at ColdQuanta, a position they started in July 2022. Prior to this, Jay worked at Paragon Space Development Corporation, where they held several roles. Jay served as a Principal Investigator/Advanced Concepts from July 2019 to April 2022. During this time, they were also the ECLSS Chief Engineer for the NASA Gateway Program, providing engineering leadership and mentoring while coordinating design, analysis, and systems engineering processes. Before that, Jay was a Lead Design Engineer at Paragon, leading design and analysis on three concurrent programs related to hydrogen oxygen production, inflatable multi-layer insulation, and thermal insulation storage systems.

Earlier in their career, Jay worked at Johnstech International, first as a Senior New Product Development Engineer from June 2017 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for innovating testing machines at the micron scale. Jay then joined Entegris as an Engineer II from December 2016 to May 2017, leading the development of a precise chemical dispensing pressure vessel for semiconductor manufacturing processes. Jay also had multiple roles at Johnstech International, starting as an Associate Product Engineer from September 2012 to January 2014, then as a Product Engineer from January 2014 to September 2015, and finally as a Research and Concept Development Engineer from September 2015 to February 2016.

Additionally, Jay had a fellowship opportunity at Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2011, where they worked as a Fellowship Student. Jay conducted individual research on EMP code and lightning phenomenology using supercomputers.

Throughout their career, Jay has demonstrated expertise in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, design, analysis, and leadership.

Jay D. attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2007 to 2012. During this time, Jay pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
