Philip Edmans

Partner at Inflexion

Philip is a Partner within the Investment team and leads the firm’s debt financing strategy and lending relationships, supporting new investments and the existing Inflexion portfolio. Philip also led our investment in Lane Clark & Peacock LLP, having also previously been a director of Scott Dunn and Vivona Brands.

Prior to his current role, he also invested in Alcumus, Reed & Mackay, CTC Aviation, Marston, Kynetec, Xtrac, Peach and Glide. In addition, he worked on the dual fundraising of Enterprise Fund IV and Supplemental Fund IV in 2016, as well as the raising of the 2012 Co-Investment Fund.

Philip started his career as a manager in PwC’s corporate finance team. From there he moved to Gleacher Shacklock, a corporate finance boutique, before joining Inflexion in 2010.

In 2009, Philip volunteered for the Clinton Foundation. Based in Kenya, he worked with a number of African governments and NGOs to successfully reduce the cost of malaria treatment, increasing access across 12 countries.

Philip enjoys travel, particularly in East Africa. He is a chartered accountant and holds a degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham.
