Sumit Ghosh

Sumit Ghosh has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Sumit began their career as an Assistant Producer at ABP News in 2008, where they managed the Assignment Desk and coordinated with various news resources. Sumit also contributed to copywriting and served as a voice-over artist.

After two years, Sumit joined Mahuaa Media Pvt Ltd. as a News Coordinator. During their time there, they managed the Assignment Desk and coordinated with different news resources, ensuring smooth workflow between the input and copy desks.

In 2012, Sumit joined R P Techvision as a Senior Assignment Executive. Sumit led the Input Desk of the Editorial Department and was responsible for coordinating with local, regional, national, and international news agencies. Sumit supervised copy distribution and ensured efficient collaboration between news input resources and the copy desk.

Sumit's next role was as an Associate Producer at News18Bangla in 2014. Here, they edited news inputs, wrote copies, and reviewed the Breaking News template in addition to producing significant breaking news stories.

In 2016, Sumit returned to InfoDesk as a Senior Content Editor. Sumit conducted research and edited business content related to various sectors such as Retail, eCommerce, Consumer Goods, Energy, Automotive, and Public Transport. Sumit also created competitive intelligence content and newsletters for renowned consultancy companies.

Sumit continued their journey at InfoDesk, progressing to the position of Lead Delivery Analyst in 2023. Their contributions in this role are ongoing, and they hold leadership responsibilities in delivering analytical insights and driving the successful execution of projects.

Before their current role, Sumit briefly worked as the Deputy Assignment Head at Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt Ltd (TV9) in 2021.

Throughout their career, Sumit Ghosh has acquired a wealth of experience in journalism, content editing, news coordination, and leadership roles.

Sumit Ghosh holds a Post Graduation degree in Mass communication & Journalism from Jadavpur University. Sumit also earned a B.A. Honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Calcutta. In addition to their academic qualifications, Sumit has obtained a certification in Learning Excel 2019 from LinkedIn in June 2021. Sumit also completed the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math.
