Steve Oldenbourg has over 30 years of work experience, with a strong background in marketing, communications, and event production. Steve is currently working as the Senior Director of Event Production at Informa Tech since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Content at Informa from June 2018 to January 2021. In 2013, Steve worked at UBM Tech as the Director of Content and later as the Sr. Program Manager for Black Hat. Before UBM Tech, they served as the Director of Program Development at Tradeline, Inc. for ten years. Steve has also gained experience at Merritt Smith Consulting, Aegis Systems, Inc., Zona Research, Inc., Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, and University of California, Intercollegiate Athletics in various marketing and communications roles.

Steve Oldenbourg attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1986 to 1991. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physical Education with a focus on Human Biodynamics. Following their undergraduate studies, from 1992 to 1994, they enrolled at the University of San Francisco and obtained a Master's degree (MA) in Sports Management.
