BIBIN K BABU is an experienced Information Technology professional with a background in IT support and network infrastructure management. Currently serving as an Information Technology Support Engineer at the Information & eGovernment Authority since March 2022, BIBIN previously held positions as an IT Support Engineer at the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation and as an Information Technology Support Engineer at Al Suroor United Group, where responsibilities included network maintenance and hardware/software installation. Earlier roles include Computer Technician at SRACO Human Resources Company, focusing on system monitoring and backups, and IT Support Technician at Indiabulls Group, managing compliance and computer-related issues. BIBIN holds a degree in Computer Hardware and Network Engineering from GT Computer Hardware Engineering College and a Pre-Degree in Business/Commerce from Kerala University.

Information & eGovernment Authority
Promulgated by the Royal Decree No. 69 in October 2015, both the eGovernment Authority and the Central Informatics Organization were merged into the ‘Information & eGovernment Authority’ (iGA). Reporting to the Ministerial Cabinet, the authority’s initiatives are in line with the strategies, plans and programs set by the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication (MCICT) - chaired by H.E. Minister of Interior Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa Minister of Interior. Currently, iGA is working on establishing newly unified vision, strategy, plans and objectives to serve every citizen, resident and business in Bahrain.
