Ebrahim Al Mahmood is an experienced professional in the field of Information Technology, currently serving as the Chief of IT Policies & Standards at the Information & eGovernment Authority since March 2010. Ebrahim has held various roles within the Enterprise Architecture and Information Technology Directorate, including Sr. Standards Specialist and Sr. Standards Coordinator, where Ebrahim focused on driving the Enterprise Architecture Maturity Improvement Program for Bahrain's ministries and government entities. Additionally, Ebrahim worked as a Project Coordinator for the National Enterprise Architecture Framework, aiding government entities in implementing and reviewing their Enterprise Architecture deliverables. Prior to this, Ebrahim operated as a Freelance Web Designer & Developer from January 2009 to February 2010, completing the full life-cycle of web development projects. Ebrahim holds a Bachelor of Science in IT Management from the University of Technology Sydney and has additional qualifications in Information Technology and Technical/Electronics.

Information & eGovernment Authority

Promulgated by the Royal Decree No. 69 in October 2015, both the eGovernment Authority and the Central Informatics Organization were merged into the ‘Information & eGovernment Authority’ (iGA). Reporting to the Ministerial Cabinet, the authority’s initiatives are in line with the strategies, plans and programs set by the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication (MCICT) - chaired by H.E. Minister of Interior Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa Minister of Interior. Currently, iGA is working on establishing newly unified vision, strategy, plans and objectives to serve every citizen, resident and business in Bahrain.
