Angela Clayton, CPA, ICD.D, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Angela currently serves as the President of Project Delivery at Infrastructure Ontario, a role they have held since April 2021. Prior to this, Angela worked at Plenary Americas, where they held multiple leadership positions. As the Group Head of the Buildings Division, reporting to the CEO, they were responsible for the design, construction, and operations of all Plenary building projects in North America. Angela also engaged in business development and client relationship management. Angela was later promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations & Asset Management, where they managed the interests of Plenary Group during the commissioning and operating phases of building projects. This included overseeing the commissioning and operational start-up of assets and implementing procedures for operational control and asset management.
Before their time at Plenary Americas, Angela held several leadership roles at Infrastructure Ontario. As the Senior Vice President of Risk & Program Management, reporting to the CFO, they led strategy and initiatives in the areas of risk, internal audit, information technology, and program management. Additionally, Angela served as the Senior Vice President of the PMO & Procurement division, responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing. Angela also held the position of Vice President of the Program Management Office, where they managed aspects of capital planning, project and program management, and project management systems.
Early in their career, Angela worked at BGIS for nine years and held various Operations and Property Management positions. As a Portfolio Manager, they successfully met all contract obligations and deliverables for national clients with extensive square footage and maintenance budgets.
Throughout their career, Angela has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing teams of various sizes and significant budgets. Angela has a proven track record of success in project delivery, risk management, procurement, program management, and asset management.
Angela Clayton holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from Athabasca University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2020. Angela also has a Certificate in Business from the University of Toronto Scarborough, which they earned from 2008 to 2012. Angela has been a CPA Candidate in Accounting and Finance at CPA Ontario since 2014 and is expected to obtain their CPA designation in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Facilities Management Administrator, Real Property Administrator, and Project Management Professional (PMP).
