Ross Burnett has extensive work experience in urban planning and development. Ross started their career as a Project Manager at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, where they led the delivery of urban regeneration programs. Ross then worked as a Regeneration Consultant at AECOM, where they evaluated a national regeneration program and prepared community development strategies. After that, they joined Urban Strategies Inc. as an Urban Planner, specializing in project management and site-specific planning analysis. Ross later became an Associate at the same company, leading urban revitalization projects in the UK. Currently, Ross works at Infrastructure Ontario, where they have held various positions, including Senior Development Manager and Director. In their current role as Vice President (Development), Landmark Projects, they lead a team tasked with identifying and implementing complex land development projects on behalf of the government. Ross'swork involves managing redevelopment projects, coordinating site due diligence, leading municipal development approvals, and negotiating political support. Overall, Ross Burnett has a strong background in urban planning and development, with experience in both the public and private sectors.
Ross Burnett completed a Master's degree in Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University from 1998 to 1999. Ross also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen's University between 1992 and 1996. Additionally, they had a brief period of study at the University of Amsterdam in 1994-1995. Ross Burnett holds certifications as a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and a Registered Professional Planner (RPP), but the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
