Bill Hargrove

Bill Hargrove is a seasoned professional in financial crime investigation with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Senior Financial Crime Investigator at ING Australia since September 2022, Bill previously held key positions such as Senior Manager for Group AML/CTF at Westpac Banking Corporation from May 2011 to September 2022, and Investigator at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, where Bill worked on inside dealing casework. Bill's career also includes managerial responsibilities at Deloitte, investigative roles at the Financial Services Authority focusing on insider trading and market abuse, and significant contributions to HM Customs & Excise in areas including VAT fraud and money laundering intelligence. Bill began as an investigator in the drugs and VAT teams at HM Customs & Excise after starting at US Customs in a seconded role. Bill holds a BA with Honours in Ancient History & Civilisations from Swansea University.
