Gilbert van Iersel

Gilbert Van Iersel has extensive experience in risk management, currently serving as the Head of Financial Risk at ING since September 1996. Their roles at ING have included leadership positions in Balance Sheet Risk, ALM Risk Management, Financial Risk Analysis, and Trading Risk Consolidation, among others. Prior to ING, Gilbert gained experience as an intern at Interpolis and Societe Generale. Gilbert holds a Master of Science in Econometrics and Quantitative Finance from Tilburg University and has also achieved the Certified Financial Risk Manager designation from GARP. Additionally, education includes time at ENSAE in Paris and completion of gymnasium studies at Theresialyceum Tilburg.
