Hazal Koptagel

Hazal Koptagel is a skilled Data Scientist currently working at ING since September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Research and Postgraduate Education Engineer at SciLifeLab, where novel probabilistic models were developed for computational biology projects. Koptagel has a strong academic background, having worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at KTH Royal Institute of Technology for five years, facilitating various graduate and undergraduate courses in machine learning and computer science. Previous research at Boğaziçi University involved building a recommendation system in collaboration with a supermarket, alongside internships at Aselsan and BİTES. Koptagel holds a PhD in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Boğaziçi University and experience in the Erasmus Program at Uppsala University.
