Joel van der Leest

Joel Van der Leest is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in change and transformation leadership, particularly within the financial sector. Currently serving as the Change & Transformation lead for Group Staff at ING since September 2022, Joel also leads a global expert team in change execution and financial risk. Previously, Joel held several significant roles at ING, including Global Program Manager for the Definition of Default and for the Fundamental Review Trading Book. Additional experience encompasses leading Solvency II programs within ING Insurance and ING Insurance Central Europe. Earlier in the career at ABN AMRO Bank, Joel contributed as Deputy Head of Group Finance Change and as a project manager for Basel II initiatives. Joel holds a degree from Radboud University, attained between 1989 and 1995.
