Rene Weijers

Rene Weijers is an accomplished banking executive with extensive experience at ING, where a career spans over three decades. Starting as a Management Trainee in 1989, Rene progressed through various roles including Relationship Manager, Director & Head of Commodity Finance, Director & Head of Corporate Clients, and Managing Director & Head of Global Clients. From 2007 to 2014, Rene served as Managing Director & Deputy Head of Corporate Clients, before assuming the position of Managing Director & Head of Wholesale Banking Business School in 2015. Rene holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from Universiteit Leiden and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
