Kao Chai-Yen is an accomplished professional in the food industry with extensive experience in business development, marketing, and innovation across the Asia Pacific region. Currently serving as the Director of Sales for Asia Pacific at Balchem Corporation since November 2024, Kao holds a long tenure at Ingredion Incorporated, starting in December 2012 and progressing through various leadership roles, including Director of Food Systems for APAC and Business Development. Prior to joining Balchem, Kao held the position of Director of Regional Food Business at NAGASE ASIA PACIFIC from September 2019 to November 2024. A solid foundation in food science and nutrition was established with a BSc Hons from the National University of Malaysia and an Executive MBA from Rutgers University - Newark. With a career spanning over two decades, Kao has held key roles at multiple organizations, enhancing expertise in technical service, product development, and food technology.
