Erick Amaral has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Assistant of Marketing at UNIG - Universidade Iguaçu until October 2010. Erick then joined SECRETARIA MUNICIPAL DE SAÚDE - NOVA IGUAÇU as a Developer and Technology Support, where they were responsible for Linux and Windows server administration, as well as developing and managing various projects. In 2012, they joined NTT Data Corporation as a Java Developer, working on Java EE projects until May 2014.
Erick then joined Inmetrics in June 2014, where they held various positions over the years. Erick started as a Performance Analyst, responsible for monitoring environments and working with technologies such as Zabbix, Oracle Database, Oracle Weblogic, PostgreSQL, and Linux operating systems. In January 2018, they transitioned to the role of Tech Lead - Performance Managed Services, leading technical teams in delivering performance solutions. In November 2020, they became the DevOps Coordinator, overseeing DevOps initiatives and performance management. From November 2021 to March 2023, Erick served as the SRE & DevOps / Cloud Manager, focusing on cloud and site reliability engineering. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager - Software Engineering, responsible for software engineering projects at Inmetrics.
Erick Amaral attended Universidade Iguaçu from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Their field of study included subjects related to Computing, IT, Engineering, and Information Systems.
In terms of certifications, Erick obtained several additional qualifications. In 2015, they earned the Oracle Certified Associate for Java SE 8 Programmer and Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate certifications. In 2016, they achieved the Oracle Certified Professional for Java SE 8 Programmer and Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional certifications. Erick also holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, which they obtained in 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification from The Linux Foundation in 2021. In 2022, Erick obtained the Well-Architected Proficient certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002) certification from HashiCorp. Lastly, in 2023, Erick obtained the Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google Cloud Training Online and the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation.
