Brad Appel has a strong background in the credit union industry. Brad worked at Innovation Federal Credit Union, starting as the Chief Risk Officer in November 2013 and then transitioning to the role of Chief Credit Officer in June 2021. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Business Banking Officer. Prior to their tenure at Innovation Federal Credit Union, Brad worked at Prairie Centre Credit Union for many years. Brad held various positions there, including VP Credit, Manager of Quality Assurance, Business Development Manager, and Lending Service Representative. Overall, Brad has accumulated extensive experience in risk management, credit operations, and business banking throughout their career.
Brad Appel attended Medicine Hat College from 1990 to 1992, where they studied Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General. Brad also obtained an Associate Designation in Specialty Lending from the Credit Union Institute of Canada, as well as a Fellowship Designation from the same institute.
