Cheryl Downey has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of human resources. Cheryl started their career as a Law Clerk at the United States Attorney's Office in 2009 and later worked as a Legal Intern at the Dutchess County Attorney's Office in 2010. From 2011 onwards, they worked at Innovative Driven, where they held several roles, including Vice President of Human Resources, Senior Director of Human Resources, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of Human Resources and Operations. In these positions, Cheryl provided support to management, managed temporary staffing divisions, and handled various human resources-related matters such as recruiting, employee relations, and benefits. Cheryl also played a key role in implementing HRIS and payroll systems. Cheryl's work experience showcases their expertise in human resources management and their ability to work in various leadership positions.
Cheryl Downey obtained a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Albany Law School, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Art and Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University at Albany, SUNY, from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, Cheryl obtained an HCI HR Certification from HRCI in July 2023.
