Alex C. has over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering. From 2018 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Innovusion and a Contract Mechanical Engineer at Zoll Circulation, respectively. From 2013 to 2011, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at Novartis, a Mechanical Design Engineer at ABB, and a Mechanical Design Engineer/Laboratory Assistant at the University of Michigan Biomedical Engineering Department. At Novartis, they designed and built proof-of-concept models, invented mechanisms to perform complex mechanical tasks, and developed and optimized essential mechanical subsystems. At ABB, they improved and added functionality to circuit breaker interlocking mechanisms. At HistoSonics Inc., they supported the development of a non-invasive ultrasound-based surgical device to treat BPH. At the University of Michigan Biomedical Engineering Department, they designed, assembled, and tested ultrasound transducers for histotripsy, produced functional prototypes in-house, and mentored graduate students.
Alex C. attended the University of Michigan from 2006 to 2010 and obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Alex also attended the University of Michigan without obtaining a degree.
