Wu J. has worked in the optical engineering field since 1995. Wu began their career as a Senior Optical Engineer at Jobin Yvon, where they were responsible for the development of two patents. In 2001, they moved to Molecular Devices as a Principal Optical Engineer, where they were responsible for two patents. In 2005, Wu J. joined KLA-Tencor as a Staff Optical Engineer, where they were responsible for one patent. From 2006 to 2022, Wu J. worked as a Senior Staff Optical Engineer at LedEngin, Inc, where they were responsible for extensive optical design and development experiences for LED based emitters and modules. Wu was also responsible for setting up and managing supplier chains, feasibility studies, design, lab set up, testing, validation, and overseeing engineering samples into productions. In 2022, Wu J. joined Innovusion as a Staff Optical Engineer.
Wu J. obtained a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Innovusion was founded in 2016 and has core R&D teams in Sunnyvale, California, USA and Suzhou, China.
