Yi Lu has extensive work experience in the field of autonomous vehicles and robotics. They most recently served as a Senior Field Application Engineer at Innovusion, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Sensor Application Engineer at TuSimple from November 2021 to March 2023. Yi Lu also held positions at Geek+ as a Robotic Implementation Engineer from June 2021 to November 2021, and at the SAIC Innovation Center as an Autonomous Vehicle Integration Engineer from September 2018 to May 2020. Before that, they worked as a Robotaxi Project Test Engineer at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi from October 2017 to September 2018, and as a Manufacturing Test Technician - Self driving car at Waymo from February 2017 to October 2017.
Yi Lu obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician from Zhejiang University from 2009 to 2013. Following this, Yi Lu pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, in April 2015, Yi Lu obtained the Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate from NCEES.

Innovusion was founded in 2016 and has core R&D teams in Sunnyvale, California, USA and Suzhou, China. It is the world's leader in image-grade long-range LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensor systems for autonomous driving markets. Its products can also be widely applied in smart transportation, smart highway, rail as well as smart mining etc,. The products for autonomous driving have been proven to pass automotive-grade and meet the requirements for L3+ autonomous driving. Currently NIO, a premier designer and developer of smart, high-performance electric vehicles, has selected Falcon LiDAR for the autonomous vehicle, Model ET7. Innovusion has also started global cooperation with many giants of smart transportation, highway, rail and smart mining using its products due to competitive cost and high quality.
