Caley Smith

Caley Smith, Ph.D., is an experienced pharmacology professional currently serving as Study Director I at Inotiv since April 2022. In this role, Caley is responsible for the technical conduct of studies, including the writing of protocols, maintaining communication with sponsors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Prior to Inotiv, Caley worked as a Research Scientist I at M6P Therapeutics, focusing on in vivo studies for novel AAV vectors aimed at treating lysosomal storage disorders. Caley's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Gene/Genetic Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where the dissertation concentrated on gene therapy efficacy for spinal muscular atrophy. Early research experiences include projects on melanoma metastasis and various gene therapy techniques during undergraduate studies.
