Gabriel Pestana serves as the Course Coordinator and Assistant Professor at Universidade Europeia since 2015, overseeing pedagogical practices and scientific coordination. Concurrently, Pestana has held the position of Invited Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico since 2007, teaching various courses related to Information Systems. As a Senior Researcher at INOV INESC INOVAÇÃO since 2004, Pestana focuses on transferring knowledge to the business market, with particular emphasis on critical infrastructures in healthcare and airport sectors. Additionally, Pestana represents INOV at the EUREKA Tourism Plus Umbrella since 2011 and has held advisory roles, including advising the SESARAM Board from 2008 to 2011 and the Centro de Informação Europeia Jacques Delors from 2006 to 2007. Pestana coordinated projects for the Secretaria Regional do Turismo and Câmara Municipal do Funchal as part of the Madeira Digital initiative from 2004 to 2006. Education includes a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences from Instituto Superior Técnico, which has been pursued since 2008.

Since we started in 2000, we have participated in several R&D projects, launched 2 spin-offs and registered more than 20 patents.
