Janio Monteiro is an experienced academic and researcher with a career spanning over two decades. Since September 1998, Janio has served as an Adjunct Professor at Universidade do Algarve, while simultaneously holding research positions at INESC-ID and INOV since January 2002. Janio Monteiro earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computers Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico between 2005 and 2010, after obtaining a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution in 2003. Earlier academic pursuits include a Licentiate degree in Electrical and Computers Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, completed in 1995.

R&D+i in Communication Networks, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Computing, Cyber-physical Systems and Remote Monitoring. We form a multidisciplinary and motivated team, including specialised administrative and technical coworkers, highly qualified in project management, researchers, scholars and interns. Since we started in 2000, we have participated in several R&D projects, launched 2 spin-offs and registered more than 20 patents. We are always looking for valuable knowledge to bring innovation to society and the economy through technology.
